To be a father one day
Please do not for one second think you know me.
I am loving, supportive, caring
and have much love to give to a child some day.
My partner and I are both nurturing
and can be just as good a daddy as any.
My sexual orientation has nothing to do
with whether I make a good father.
After all, when was the last time you asked your parents
what they do in their bedroom?
I never have... and I can't imagine anyone else has either.
People of faith have no sound reason
to use their religion to stand above the law.
Dr Sheila Matthews' objection on gay adoption
isn't based on medical advice.
It is merely her minority opinion.
Does she know me?
How does she know I wouldn't make a good father?
You know, in my youth, I used to be a rather good Christian
until I realised too many of them
are one of the most judgemental & hurtful people around.
Testimony surely
is the fact we're our nephews' & nieces' favourite uncles
Poppy, Noah, Amber, Owen
they all love it so much
when they stay over with us.
Please do not for one second think you know me.
I would make a good dad.
Damian would make an amazing dad.
My dad too, knows we'd make good dads.
What else do I know for sure?
God would be ashamed of his flock today.
